BJ caught pants down lying to APM

Mpinganjira: Is busy manipulating APM

Some people will never change! Beleaguered DPP Spokesman Brown Mpinganjira aka BJ has been caught pants down lying to DPP President Peter Mutharika on the status of Mpumulo wa Bata, the resting place for former President the late Bingu Mutharika.

The late Bingu Mutharika’s widow Callista Mutharika wants to hold a memorial service for her late husband on December 5,2020 at the Mosoleaum but this did not go down well with BJ.

Callista fell off with his brother in law APM politically. BJ then wrote APM on the issue of Callista using Mpumulo wa Bata with so many lies. “Your Excellency, I need to speak to you Sir about Mpumulo wa Bata at Ndata.

“The social media was yesterday awash with lies that the place is derelict, that the family and the party are not looking after the place. Some of our regional officials: Mr Yona Mlotha, Mr Rudo Chimbalawala, Mr Charles Kadziwe and Mr Blessings Nangowa went to investigate at Ndata.”

“The place is not that unkempt but Callista has asked the Catholic church kwa Goliati to have mass in memory of Late Bingu on Saturday 5 Dec and so they are creating all this hype on the social media for them to be seen to be concerned about Late Bingu’s resting place. This effectively will be a function for utm and chilima will be there,” reads BJ message to APM in part.

“We are therefore planning as a party to preempt them by holding our own clean up function this Saturday 28 Nov.The team who went there have also discovered that the place is in darkness in the night because of an electrical fault. We need to have this rectified.” “This is what I want to talk to Your Excellency about. Respectfully, BJ,” reads the message.

But insiders said BJ is always known of lies and this too is a lie because the memorial mass was not going to happen at Mpumulo wa Bata considering the tense relationship between Callista and APM. “BJ will never stop lying, will he? If we are failing to take care of the late Bingu Mutharika’s resting place then we should not blame other people,” said a DPP guru who refused to be named.

Arnold M’bwana Acting CEO TNM

The 2020 Super League season will aim to create a platform for the return of life to normalcy in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and open up to a pool of life-changing possibilities, long time sponsor TNM Plc has said ahead of the official kick-off on Saturday in Blantyre.

In a statement released on Tuesday, TNM plc Acting Chief Executive Officer Arnold M’bwana said the theme for the 2020 season is NdiZotheka or ‘It is possible’ saying Malawi’s pioneer mobile technology provider would like to use the Super League as a gateway to unleashing endless possibilities and potentials.

“We realize that football touches many lives, and in different ways. In the 2020 season, we are looking at the league providing a platform for engaging people socially and economically,” he said.

“For example, those in the media can plug into the league for content advertising opportunities, those in retail trade can take advantage of actual games to bring their products closer to fans, and in the social sector, an opportunity will be provided to raise awareness on national causes such as is the case this year whereby we would like to use the opening game and subsequent ones as a medium to spread knowledge on how to stay safe in the wake of the global Coronavirus pandemic,” explained M’bwana.

He said the 2020 Super League season will provide a pedestal on which TNM plc seeks to avail to its customers the greatest affordability and connectivity opportunities in voice and digital services.

“Customers should be able to realize their social, business and professional needs using TNM’s services based on their affordability depths. The continuous growth and customer excitement with TNM’s fastest 4G network has immense possibilities and therefore will continue to increase its footprint to all corners of the country.”

“Our 4G network offers customers the option of plugging into the game to watch highlights, and live games through streaming,” said M’bwana.

The 2020 season marks the 14th year of TNM’s long-term sponsorship of the league.

“Super League action returns to Kamuzu Stadium after a 10-month break due to off-season recess and Covid-19 suspension with 2019 champions Nyasa Big Bullets hosting Blue Eagles in the official opening match. This season fans should expect more buzz and excitement as we will be coming with initiatives to improve the game,” said M’bwana.

The Acting CEO said the 2020 season will strive to enable football stakeholders achieve great things in their daily endeavors, hence the theme ‘NdiZotheka’.

M’bwana welcomed three newly promoted teams, Red Lions, MAFCO and Ekwendeni Hammers to the elite league:

“The brand welcomes them to the elite club. It can really get tough as Red Lions and MAFCO can attest to this but with proper planning survival is possible,” said M’bwana.

TNM plc has called on all Super League stakeholders and Malawians to adhere to health guidelines in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

“The Coronavirus pandemic has devastated the world and continues to cause panic among humans. I therefore, urge all soccer fans adhere to the necessary protocols during the matches to prevent further spread of the pandemic,” said M’bwana

FDH Bank, Innobuild in K2billion partnership

Kawawa Msapato: The offer is open to both FDH Bank plc and non-FDH Bank plc customers

Listed FDH Bank plc has entered into a massive K2 billion partnership with Innobuild Private Limited that will foster growth for Malawians by facilitating acquisition of land.

FDH Bank plc Head of Personal and Investment Banking Kawawa Msapato said as a homegrown institution that believes in growth, its partnership with Innobuild will support Malawians to acquire land through credit facilities worth K2 Billion to empower them to acquire land in Lilongwe.

“The partnership will enable a good number of Malawians to own land in a prime location in line with the bank’s mission of facilitating and making growth possible.”

“The offer is open to both FDH Bank plc and non-FDH Bank plc customers and interested customers are required to secure a land allocation with Innobuild who will then recommend them to the bank for a credit facility,” said Msapato.

He said as a key player in the financial sector, listed on the Malawi Stock Exchange, and a partner in the development of the country, FDH Bank plc believes that supporting initiatives such as this will in the long term foster growth and economic empowerment.

Innobuild Private Limited Chief Executive Officer Billy Jonathan Chiwotha said they observed the land access challenges being faced by Malawians in prime locations hence the partnership with FDH Bank plc.

“Some of the challenges that Malawians are being faced is the access to the actual land as most of the prime land is already largely occupied by a few individuals thereby hindering other Malawians from access despite having financial ability to acquire it.”

“There is also lack of financial ability to acquire the land bearing in mind of general levels of income of most Malawians and comparing with the prevailing prices of land in prime locations; most of them cannot afford to amass the needed upfront payments for such land hence denying them a chance to own land,” said Chiwotha.

He said in light of the challenges, Innobuild solicited solutions that will make it easier for Malawians to own land in prime locations in our cities and approached FDH Bank plc to partner it in providing financial backing to Malawians to acquire land.

“Innobuild envisages that through this partnership with FDH Bank plc more Malawians will be able to own land,” said Chiwotha.

Premier mobile phone provider, TNM plc has been named the headline sponsor for the Blantyre-Lilongwe tourism walk which is meant to raise funds for training and certification of tour guides in the country.

TNM plc Acting Chief Executive Officer Arnold Mbwana said in an interview yesterday that, TNM, being a Malawian company is proud to be associated with the promotion of tourism in the country hence the sponsorship.

“TNM plc is a truly Malawian company and we thought the training and certification of tour guides is one of the best ways of promoting tourism in the country and that is why we came in with our K2 million sponsorship,” said Mbwana.

The walk will start on Saturday 21st November 2020 with 10 people who will walk all the way to Lilongwe and are expected to cover the 314 kilometre distance in 10 days.

Mbwana said they will dress the 10 Walkers in TNM colours both on the first day and the arrival day in Lilongwe.

“We will also have our TNM staff and other joining the 10 walkers at Bunda Turn off in Lilongwe on Day 10 which is Monday 30th November 2020 up to Lilongwe Gateway Mall where our heroes will receive a thunderous welcome by different dignitaries,” said Mbwana.

One of the organizers of the walk Innocent Kaliati from The Eagle’s Eye Malawi, hailed TNM plc for the platinum sponsorship and called on other individuals and companies to support the event.

“We are looking at raising K7 million to train about 100 Tour Guides but if we can raise more, it means we will train and certify more Tour Guides. Each of the people who will walk from Blantyre to Lilongwe are expected to contribute K150,000 towards the event, so companies or individuals can choose to sponsor one or two walkers,” said Kaliati.

He explained that economic benefits of tourism such as generation of foreign currency and creation of employment opportunities will remain a pipedream if the country lacks trained and certified tour guides.

“What qualifies them to be tour guides in their areas is the local knowledge that they have and this contributes to the varied service standards that characterize this informal sector. For them this is how they earn a living. It is against this background that we decided to help these guides acquire a more standardized training but most importantly, certification of their skills,” said Kaliati.

CENTRAL REGION DPP GOVERNORS SHOCK APM: Openly Names 4 People Misleading Him

Mutharika with the governors

Brutal truth.Brave Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regional governors for the central region have told former President Peter Mutharika in the face that he is being misled by ‘four power hungry’ politicians in the DPP.

Probably one of the messages that could not have been delivered to him had he still be State President, Mutharika looked in disbelief when the message was delivered in a clear and audible voice.

Mutharika was also told point blank that the four, DPP’s organizing Secretary Chimwemwe Chipungu, Political Advisor Francis Mphepo, National Executive Committee (NEC) member Joseph Mwanamveka and Publicist Brown Mpinganjira will finish the party and money.

The governors met Mutharika at his retirement home in Mangochi. Ironically Mphepo and Chipungu were present. Eeeer they also organized the meeting!

The Governors also warned Mutharika against raping DPP’s constitution by among others firing people who were duly elected by delegates during Party’s convention.

Meanwhile, the governors have asked President Mutharika to call for an early convention for people to elect leaders of their choice. District Governors from Kasungu, Nkhotakota, Mchinji and Dedza spoke on behalf of their colleagues to the astonishment of Chipungu and Mphepo who watched in disbelief.

EXCLUSIVE: How Malawi’s Foreign Affairs Minister Mkaka, Chakwera’s top aide helped Bushiri escape South Africa

Chakwera’s Executive Assistant and son-inlaw Sean Kampondeni, Foreign Affairs Minister Mkaka, and Bushiri’s top aides pose for a photo at a hotel in South Africa

Details are emerging how excited Minister of Foreign Affairs Eisenhower Mkaka helped self- styled Prophet Sheppard Bushiri and his wife jump bail in South Africa and facilitated his safe entry in Malawi on Wednesday night.

We can reveal that Mkaka met Bushiri’s aide Kelvin Silungwe in South Africa on Tuesday where they agreed on a plan to smuggle Bushiri out of the country and how he was going to enter Malawi without problems.

The pictures show Mkaka and Silungwe meeting at a hotel in South Africa where he was lodging preparing for President Lazarus Chakwera’s state visit to South African on Thursday last week.

President Chakwera’s top aide and son-in-law Sean Kampondeni also attended the meeting with Silungwe and they all got their ‘cut’ right there in South Africa. The final payment was made on Saturday evening at Bushiri’s opulent Area 43 home in Lilongwe.

Mkaka and Silungwe

“Bushiri had already arranged his escape with his people including police officers in South Africa but the problem was how he was going to enter Malawi and that is why Mkaka was reached to help and he did help and got his cut from the deal right there in South Africa,” said our impeccable source close to the matter.

Bushiri is said to have used Mchinji Border deep in the night on Wednesday last week, a day before Chakwera left for South Africa.

Bushiri only came out to announce that he was in Malawi on Saturday morning to coincide with the arrival of Chakwera in the early hours of Saturday morning after his plane was detained in South African for several hours on Friday night.

“Mkaka, Kampondeni are the ones who helped Bushiri jump bail in South Africa and facilitated his entry in Malawi, they know this is the truth and they know they got paid for it. In fact, those in the know should ask Mkaka to account for his time and movements on Saturday night, he was at Bushiri’s house in Lilongwe getting his final payment,” said the source.

EXCLUSIVE: How Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera smuggles Bushiri from South Africa

0

On Saturday morning, after spending a night in Malawi, Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary Bushiri issued a statement confirming that they are in Malawi.

Malawian President, Dr Lazarus Chakwera assisted them to escape. The timeline of the Bushiri escape from justice reads like a movie script, and the Presidency in Malawi is deep in the scandal.

Before the departure of Malawian President, National Intelligence Bureau sent a planning team of intelligence operatives to South Africa to finalise the escape plan of Bushiri.

Chakwera used a chartered flight to fly directly into Waterkloof Airforce Base, which is a national key-point reserved for South African Military and heads of state.

Waterkloof airport does not conduct the same procedures and searches that are done at the normal airport, especially for the Presidents and their emissaries.

On Wednesday, the 11th of November 2020, before the President of Malawi left Malawi from Kamuzu International Airport (KIA), the Ministry of Transport in Malawi immediately released a statement barring people from entering the airport zone to welcome the president, as is tradition.

In the statement, they claimed that KIA wants to conform with the IATA regulations. Drama took place on Friday night when the Malawian president was supposed to return to Malawi, a day Bushiri did not report to authorities as per his bail conditions.

Instead of Lazarus Chakwera leaving South Africa at the designated time, he delayed his flight, issuing a statement as a veneer cover of the plot. The statement reads: “President Chakwera’s departure from South Africa has been delayed several hours due to clerical glitches in travel arrangements for Malawi State Officials who had travelled to South Africa ahead of the president’s arrival. As such, the president elected to wait until every Malawian in his delegation was assisted so that they could all be accounted for upon return. As the exercise is almost complete, His Excellency and his entourage will be departing anytime tonight.”

Those in the diplomatic circles know very well that the president does not have to wait for a forward planning team. A forward planning team is usually the last to leave the country, following the president. When travelling between South Africa and Malawi, you do not need to do any “clerical” paperwork, except to take out your passport and get it stamped, and you pass. So the “clerical glitch” that Malawian president refers to here is a lie.

Malawian president’s statement further tells untruth when referring to teams that left before the president as “my delegation”, and wanting them “all accounted for on return”.

While the above statement makes Lazarus Chakwera look like a caring president, it exposes lies that suggests that Chakwera and his government was covering up something sinister.

It has never been a duty of a president to account for teams accompanying him on state visit. Who was this official? Everyone knows that papers of a delegation are always intact before entry into the country of destination. What are these so called clerical papers when we also know that traveling between South Africa and Malawi does not need complicated clerical papers except a passport.

The person Chakwera was waiting for is Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary Bushiri. Bushiri could have only escaped through three routes, Waterkloof Airforce Base with Chakwera, through OR Tambo International, or any of the international airports, or by roads through the borders.

With COVID-19, and the Covid protocols, it is near impossible for Bushiri to escape via international airports without paperwork, or detection. It will be near impossible to bribe officials between multiple gates of the airport until he gets out of the country without detection.

Through the borders of the national roads, Bushiri has to skip multiple borders to get to Malawi. He will have to bribe officials between the country borders that he will be going through, and that is not an easy feat to achieve.

The only plausible area where he could have been able to leave without much hassle is the Waterkloof Airforce Base, together with the Malawi Presidential delegation.

All that the Malawian president had to do is to bring him into Waterkloof as part of the delegation, and driving him straight through the tarmac to the presidential jet. What is more telling is how is what happened in Malawi. Again, deviating from tradition of having the media and people to welcome the president when he lands, the president landed after midnight, with no media or anyone to welcome him.

The directive by the minister on Wednesday was already going to make it difficult for anyone to get to the airport tarmac to welcome Chakwera and his delegation. It is no coincidence that Bushiri issued a statement a day after the night when the presidential jet landed in Malawi.

It is no coincidence that he arrived in Malawi on the same day as Malawi president’s delegation came back to Malawi. Chakwera visited South Africa in order to steal Bushiri, and help him escape the law, back into Malawi. https://www.news24.com/news24/southafrica/news/just-in-bushiri-and-wife-flee-sa-for-malawi-breaking-bail-conditions-20201114

Malawi Gaming Board releases two senior officials

0

Malawi Gaming Board has not renewed contracts for two of its senior members of the management team, it has been learnt.

The board of directors has declined to renew the contract of Ted Nandolo, 71, who was Director of Social Services and Dave Saweruzika, 63, who was Director of Operations.

Malawi Gaming Board Chairman Benard Ndau neither confirmed nor denied the developments when contacted for comment.

“Contractual issues are private in nature. The board of directors will look at these issues and inform the concerned individuals of its decision,” said Ndau.

Insiders said Nandolo, a former Chief Executive Officer for Blantyre City Council, asked the board for the renewal of his contract despite reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60.

On the other hand Saweruzika also wanted a contract extension despite reaching retirement age.

Malawi Gaming Board Chief Executive Officer Foster Mulumbe and Company Secretary and Head of legal Services Ofa Alide are yet to know their fate on the extension of their contracts which also expired.

Inside sources said  Malawi Gaming Board was taken as a ‘dumping ground’ for people who fell out of grace with the government during the past DPP regime.

For example, Mulumbe was sacked at Admarc where he was Chief Executive Officer over his involvement in the procurement of K30 billion maize from Zambia.

Nandolo too had his contract not renewed at Blantyre City Council and was appointed Director of Social services at Malawi Gaming Board, a position which is not found in the Board’s organogram.
